Missions - Belgian Parking Federation

The Belgian Parking Federation (FBS) brings together the owners and operators, both private and public, of on- and off-street car parks. The FBS:

represents the parking sector and parking stakeholders to third parties, whether public or private, in the context of the challenges related to mobility and on and off-street parking in Belgium.

informs its members as well as interested third parties on the evolutions, developments and challenges related to the parking sector.

studies in close collaboration with the EPA (European Parking Association) the challenges and evolutions related to the on and off-street parking sector in Belgium.

BPF establishes and maintains statistical data on the off-street and on-street parking market in Belgium. This information is shared with members and interested third parties.

BPF represents the parking sector vis-à-vis the various public authorities and third parties. It intervenes when specific problems arise for its members at local, regional, national and European level.

BPF also monitors the quality of the car parks. As the only official representative of the sector in Belgium, it has obtained the authorisation from the EPA (European Parking Association) to grant the ESPA certification (European Standard Parking Award). The ESPA is the highest quality certification for car parks in Europe.
